REMAX Stays REMAX: What Tamir Poleg’s Message Means for Agents and Broker/Owners

One of the biggest questions since Real and RE/MAX came together has been pretty simple:
What happens to RE/MAX?
For agents, and especially Broker/Owners who have spent years building businesses under the RE/MAX name, that’s an important question.
Tamir Poleg’s message has been clear:
RE/MAX stays RE/MAX.
This isn’t about taking down RE/MAX signs and replacing them with Real.
RE/MAX brings more than 50 years of brand recognition, established brokerage businesses and a huge global network. Real brings technology, infrastructure and a modern brokerage platform.
The opportunity is in bringing those strengths together.

RE/MAX ISN'T BECOMING REAL

This is an important distinction.
Real REMAX Group is the parent company, but Real and RE/MAX remain different brokerage brands with different models.
When Tamir spoke to RE/MAX Broker/Owners, his message wasn’t about dismantling what they had built. He talked about protecting the strength of the RE/MAX brand while looking at ways Real’s technology and systems could make it stronger.
For people worried that the RE/MAX identity is about to disappear, that’s significant.
The goal isn’t to throw away what already works.
It’s to add more behind it.

WHAT DOES THIS MEAN FOR RE/MAX AGENTS?

Most agents aren’t particularly interested in corporate structure.
They want to know:
How does this help me build a better business?
That’s the question I’m watching.
Real has built a technology-driven brokerage platform designed to connect more of the agent’s business in one place. As the two organizations come together, there may be opportunities for RE/MAX agents to benefit from technology and infrastructure that wasn’t previously available to them.
There are still details to come, and we shouldn’t pretend everything changes overnight.
But the potential is interesting:
Keep the strength and recognition of RE/MAX while improving what’s happening behind the scenes.

WHAT ABOUT BROKER/OWNERS?

For Broker/Owners, the questions are bigger.
You’ve invested money, time and years of work building your brokerage.
Naturally, you want to know:
Will this help me recruit?
Will it help me keep good agents?
Can technology make my brokerage easier to operate?
Does this create more value in the business I’ve already built?
Those are the questions that matter.
Tamir has specifically discussed making Real’s technology and systems available to RE/MAX Broker/Owners who are interested in using them.
That could create a powerful combination:
RE/MAX brand recognition backed by more modern technology and infrastructure.
And from a recruiting standpoint, I think that’s something Broker/Owners should be paying very close attention to.

WHAT HAPPENS NEXT?

There are still plenty of details to come.
There will be new announcements, new technology and a lot of questions as Real REMAX Group moves forward.
But I don’t think the story here is that RE/MAX is going away.
I think the bigger story is what RE/MAX could become with Real behind it.
That’s why I created this site — to cut through the noise, answer the questions agents, teams and Broker/Owners are actually asking, and explore what these changes could mean for your business.
